When Marion Jones was convicted of steroid use back in 2007 & stripped of her Olympic medals I was greatly disheartened. I had nothing but fond memories of her, as I used to go with my family back in the mid-90's to watch Jones play basketball during her college career at UNC-Chapel Hill.
Now that she has acknowledged her wrongdoing & served her sentence, Marion Jones is making headlines again as she attempts to join the WNBA. Seeing as that the league is currently struggling, I think her reputation & infamy will secure great PR for the WNBA association. Jones has paid her debt to society, why not give her a second chance?
In other comeback news, Kelis is officially back! Last week the singer's camp released her teaser single, "Acapella", which received great feedback from her fans. Then in a recent press release, it was stated that Kelis will be releasing an album through will.I.am Music Group/Interscope.
So we can definitely expect new music from everyone's favorite trendsetter in 2010!
